Ritu Beri - Indian Fashion Designer

Ritu Beri studied fashion arts at the NIFT, New Delhi. She is the only Indian designer to be featured in promostyl's magazine Acustyl, which forecasts fashion trends worldwide. She is the author of the personal fashion book, 101 Ways to Look Good. She also serves on the board of Governors at NIFT, and is an honorary patron of the Savera Association, a popular charity involved in improving the lives of Indian woman.

Her notable international clients are former US President Bill Clinton, Prince Charles, Moulin Rouge, Nicole Kidman, Hollywood actress Andy McDowell, Supermodel Laetitia Casta, famous Parisian Socialite Mrs. Lagerdere, Langes Swarovski & The Swarovski family, Elizabeth Jagger and Jerry Hall.

Ritu Beri brought her label alive in 1990 when India was still awakening to the couture era. Swift as silk she forayed into France, a protégé of embroidery maestro Francois Lesage.

The first Indian fashion ambassador to show on the catwalks of Paris she then traveled the globe showing her creations to critical acclaim. Her presentations gave the French fashion connoisseurs a glimpse into mystical India. The Parisians were abuzz with exclamations and praises of the rich display of luxurious silks, brocades and the prevalent use of Mogul motifs.
